What is Hernia?

Hernia is the bulging and hardening of the skin due to the weakening of the outer skin layer due to internal disturbances of the body. Due to pressure in the inner layer of the skin, the upper layer of the skin protrudes outwards from the normal skin. No specific symptoms of hernia can be felt. It doesn’t cause any particular pain. The hernia can occur in the abdomen or thigh. Some hernia types do not heal. Whereas it can be felt completely fine only after their surgery.


Symptoms of hernia

No specific symptoms of hernia can be felt. Whereas the major symptom of hernia can be seen repeatedly in the affected area, lump or bulge. By touching it, it is felt that the flesh has gathered in one place. The protruding part of the hernia can be felt when you lift or sit or walk. Symptoms can be felt in other types of hernia. For example, shortness of breath, trouble swallowing, burning in the chest, blood in the stool, pain can be felt.

Symptoms of hernia

Types of hernia

There are many types of hernias. which can have different effects on the body.

1. Inguinal hernia

This hernia is common among all types of hernia. It is more in almost all people. This type of hernia hole in the abdomen or because of pressure in the muscles.

 

2. Femoral hernia

This type of hernia is more often in men. Abdomen, Thigh, Leg.

 

3. Umbilical hernia

Hernia occurs in the weakened area around the navel. Which arises when the weakest muscles of the abdomen come out of the navel. This type of hernia is more felt in men and women.

 

4. Umbilical hernia

Hernia is a little difficult to feel in the early stages. Whereas the affected hernia can be slightly above the normal skin and in bulge. The hernia emerges by piercing the lower layer of the skin due to the weak lining or internal pressure of the abdomen and thigh. Its types determine how painful and symptomatic it can be. The complaint of someone having a hernia is understandable immediately. Whereas in other hernia types until it is large. Till then it cannot be considered a hernia. Hernia surgery

As we all know about hernia till now. This disease comes under the category of an incurable disease. If left untreated, it can become complicated and serious. Or if the hernia enlarges, major surgery and swelling, pain can be felt.


1. Laparoscopic surgery

This is done by a machinery equipment and specialist. In this type of surgery, small instruments and a small incision are made. The affected hernia site does not require much removal. Rather, the hernia is removed by making a small incision. This surgery is used in the low and early stages of hernia. The patient recovers quickly after surgery.

 

2. Direct surgery or open surgery

Apart from hernia, it is used for other types of diseases. In this, the affected area is numbed and it is removed by making an incision. Whereas this is not the case in laparoscopic surgery. This surgery is larger and may take longer to heal. After performing hernia surgery, a recessed hernia can develop and emerge on the tissue.
